To promote the positioning of ECTRI regarding the ITF/OECD project on decarbonising transport, a new Task Force has been set up. The Decarbonising Task Force will act as a linkage between ECTRI and ITF and facilitate the functioning of ECTRI as a knowledge partner in the project.
One of the first tasks of the Task Force will be to compile the relevant competence among ECTRI-partners around the main research themes in the project and provide ITF with this information. The core competence areas focus on supporting the ITF development of a suite of modelling tools to navigate the political pathway in a systemic approach with 5-year reviews for national decarbonisation commitments created by the COP21 agreement and starting in 2020.
